CHF Standards

National Crystal Healing Standards

The Crystal & Healing Federation (CHF) and the Affiliation of Crystal Healing Organisations (ACHO), who are the two main umbrella bodies for crystal healing schools and colleges, have joined forces in order to ensure that professional and adequate standards in Crystal Healing are set and maintained. The result is the British Crystal Healers (BCH), which is now the lead body representing Crystal Healing Standards in the UK.

These standards consist of 180 hours of tutor-led tuition spread over a minimum of two years. This number of hours must include the agreed BCH Crystal Training Standards/Core Curriculum. Tutors must meet the criteria of either CHF or ACHO concerning teaching standards. It is in order to protect the public, practitioners as well as the reputation of this valuable complementary therapy that the above- mentioned standards have been set.

Crystals can be powerful tools and it is essential that those who use them for healing purposes have had adequate training in order to do so in a safe, responsible, knowledgeable and effective manner. Apart from standard practical subjects, the training involves much work on subtle levels.

Crystal healers must have a thorough understanding of the Human Energy Field, be able to perceive various systems within this field as well as assess any form of imbalance or blockages within these systems. They must also be able to act as an effective channel for the benefit of their clients, which requires in-depth healer training, intuition and self-development.

Competent crystal healers are also highly proficient in using appropriate crystals to help clear blockages or correct imbalances in the Human energy field, which calls for in-depth knowledge, understanding and practical experience of the energies of the mineral kingdom. Apart from training, study and supervised practice, it takes time to develop and integrate these skills. This is the main reason why crystal healing diploma courses by correspondence or shorter courses are not recognised by the BCH or CHF.

CHF Energy (Spiritual) Healing Standards

Some CHF member schools also offer qualifications in Spiritual Healing. If combined with crystal healing, this will involve extra practical work and case studies. If not, a minimum of 80 hours, spread over 2 years are the required standard.

Because no crystals are involved, far less tutor led tuition is necessary for this therapy. As with crystal healing, spiritual healers must have a thorough understanding of the Human Energy Field and be able to perceive various systems within this field. They will also need the extensive healer training and development. Practice over the 2 years will ensure sufficient time to develop and integrate these necessary skills.

Stress Therapy

At present CHF has one member school that offers training in stress therapy. This training consists of 16 days of tutor led tuition spread over 2 years. Stress therapists must be able to help their clients to deal with as well as control stress. This involves having an in-depth understanding of the causes as well as the results of stress and learning how to be an effective practitioner in this valuable therapy.

Bach Flower Remedies Standards

At present this is only offered to qualified crystal or energy healers whose training has been equivalent to CHF standards. Tutor led training consists of 5 days and home study & work assignments. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the remedies, how to select them and also how to apply them in the subtle energy field. This course also covers healing with actual flowers.
